Outro x FORM Festival 2017

This May we'll be heading to Arcosanti, Arizona as the official software partner for FORM Festival. Conceptualized and curated by electronic indie-pop band Hundred Waters, the fourth edition of the festival includes performances by James Blake, Solange, How to Dress Well and Skrillex, among others. We're pumped.

Having grown tired of the huge crowds, endless lineups, and the all-too-similar big name lineups of major festivals, Hundred Waters were eager to develop a musical gathering with a sense of intimacy and creative collaboration. After discovering Arcosanti—a tiny desert town developed by Italian architect Paolo Soleri in 1970—while scouting a location for their 2014 album release party, Hundred Waters connected with the community spirit and earthy aesthetic, and quickly decided it would be the home for FORM.

Arcosanti is based on Soleri's concept of Arcology, a school of urban planning that prioritizes the harmony of architecture and ecology, and aims to reduce our direct environmental footprint. Only 150 people live there year round, most of which work to preserve the site. This year's festival is expected to bring 1500 people—typically creatives working in music, film or technology—who will camp outdoors, explore the vastness of desert landscape, take part in communal meditation and of course, experience some life-changing performances.

If you're not, sign up and then do the same!
